Youth Day Program

Youth Day Program The Youth Day Program Team consists of a Coordinator/ Teacher,
Residential Counsellors, and access to various Clinicians. The Youth Day Program supports youth, in care of the Minister of Community Services, who are residing in Kings Regional Rehab Centres Community Options Youth Programs and are currently not attending public school.

Program Objectives

·        Support students towards staying in and completing school

·        Follow curriculum guidelines outlined by the Nova Scotia Department of Education

·        Providing individualized programs designed to meet the academic, personal and social needs and abilities of each student

·        Reconnect students to school and community

·        Added academics supports and structure

·        Positive learning experiences

·        Reintegrate students into mainstream classrooms at full or modified levels

·        Safe and supportive learning environments

·        Experiential and outdoor education
